«Upgrade of the NCSS Attica’s shelter for women-violence victims»

 This project is implemented in the framework of the OP of the ATTICA Prefecture for the 2014-2020 period- for which the NCSS is responsible based on a Programme Deal with the General Secretariat for Gender Equality. Its aim is to upgrade and operate a Shelter for women-victims of all forms of violence and/or discriminations (e.g. immigrants, refugees, single-parents, disabled, unemployed etc.), in an existing building of the NCSS in the Attica prefecture.

Within the project’s framework women are provided with advisory support, with reinforced actions (language learning, creativity programs for children, tutoring etc.) and new pilot programs (parental role support, job search advice, follow-up etc.).

The Shelter operates 24/7 throughout the year and is expected to host 250 persons in total, during its 5-year operation.

Eligible budget: 928.304,00 €

 This project is implemented in the framework of the OP of the Central Macedonia Prefecture for the 2014-2020 period- for which the NCSS is responsible based on a Programme Deal with the General Secretariat for Gender Equality. Its aim is to upgrade and operate a Shelter for women-victims of all forms of violence and/or discriminations (e.g. immigrants, refugees, single-parents, disabled, unemployed etc.), in an existing building of the NCSS in the Thessaloniki prefecture.

Within the project’s framework women are provided with advisory support, with reinforced actions (language learning, creativity programs for children, tutoring etc.) and new pilot programs (parental role support, job search advice, follow-up etc.).

The Shelter operates 24/7 throughout the year and is expected to host 170 persons in total, during its 5-year operation.

Action Plan "A4: Crossing borders for effective police investigation to protect female victims of sex-trafficking and enhance accountability mechanisms"

EKKA participates as a partner in the transnational Action Plan "A4" implemented with a coordinating partner the Center for Security Studies (KE.ME.A.) and co-financed by the European Commission - Directorate-General for Immigration and Home Affairs - Migration and Security Programs Financial actions and Conventions of the Union.

The following also participate in the implementation of the project:

WIENER ZENTRUM FUR SOZIALWISSENSCHAFTLICHE SICHERHEITSFORSCHUNG (VICESSE), from Austria and
the organization PRAVO I INTERNET FOUNDATION (LIF), from Bulgaria
The aim of the project is to contribute to the upgrading of the skills of law enforcement authorities in the investigation and prosecution of traffickers in order to reduce the phenomenon of impunity and to instill in the victims a sense of security and justice by condemning those involved in their trafficking and, ultimately, the recognition of the criminal act against them.

The participation of EKKA concerns the pilot implementation of a cross-sectoral mechanism at transnational level in actions of investigation and prosecution of traffickers for the purpose of sexual exploitation of women and girls.

Duration of implementation of the Plan: from 1/3/2021 to 28/2/2023
