Social Support Centres Ampelokipi

The Social Support Centre of Ampelokipoi is the central Service that receives citizens facing a situation of crisis and need psychosocial support.

Its basic goal is to provide emergency psychological and social support.

It is staffed with Social Workers and Psychologists.

It operates daily (Monday-Friday): 07:30 – 15:30.

Social Support

Needs and risk assessment, based on which an individualised action plan is compiled with the active participation of the citizen.

In case of homeless individuals or families, there is the possibility of accommodation in an NCSS shelter.

Cooperation and Mediation with Services depending on the women’s and their children’s needs, such as Hospitals, Municipal Health Care Units, Ministry of Migration and Asylum, Asylum Service, Public Prosecutor’s Office, Police Departments, NGOs for accommodation, language learning, legal issues, recreational activities, interpretation, Various Actors’ Social Services, Counselling Centers and Shelters of the General Secretary for Equality and Human Rights (GSEHR)  GSGE network and others.

Counselling and Psychotherapy (short-term, focused on the present and the handling of the crisis)

Couple and Family Therapy

Operating the Counselling Programme addressed to perpetrators of domestic violence, according to Law 3500/2006 (On Combating Domestic Violence), following a referral by a Public Prosecutor, Air, Naval and Military Courts.

The SSC of Finika is the citizens’ reception Service for those who are facing a crisis and need psychosocial protection in Northern Greece.

Its main goal is to provide urgent psychological and social support.

It is staffed by Social Workers and Psychologists.

It operates daily (Monday – Friday), working hours: 07:30 – 15:30.

Social Support

Needs and risk assessment based on which an individual action plan is drafted with the active participation of the beneficiary.

In case of homeless persons or families, there is the possibility of accommodation in an NCSS Shelter.

Referral or Connection and Mediation to Services relevant to the persons’ needs, such as, Hospitals, Municipal Health Units, Asylum Service, Ministry of Migration and Asylum, Accommodation by NGOs, language lessons or legal support, Social Services of various actors, Counselling Centers and Shelters of the GSFPGE and others.

Individual Psychotherapy (short-term, focusing on the present and on facing the crisis)

Couples and family therapy

Operation of the Counselling-Therapy Program by applying the Legal Mediation of the Law. 3500/2006 following referrals by Public Prosecutors, Air, Military and Naval Courts.
